The Sunk Cost app icon: a gold boardroom table and calculator on deep green, with a clock above it.

Every meeting has a price. Sunk Cost shows it to you, to the cent, while it happens.

Say who is in the room by job title, tap Start, and the meter runs. End the meeting and you get a receipt you can share with the person who called it.

It is a gag with a real calculator inside

Each title carries a yearly salary, spread over a working year of 2,080 hours to get a cost per second. The meter adds up everyone in the room for every second it runs, and the remarks get worse as the bill grows.

The salaries that come with the app are rough, illustrative US averages chosen to look plausible. They are not anyone's actual pay. Tap any title to put in the real number for your company, rename it, or add your own.

Sunk Cost is for entertainment. The totals are estimates, and the only meeting it can save you from is the next one.

Nothing leaves your phone

There is no account to make and no server behind it. The app makes no network connections at all, and it carries no analytics, no advertising and no third-party code. Your titles, salaries and receipts stay on the phone, and deleting the app deletes them.

The full detail is in the privacy policy, and support explains how the meter works.
